Dec. 10th: The (real) Fashion Forecast

On the tenth day of The Refinement Club’s Advent Calendar, we present the idea of our recurring guest Maja Folgerø and her team partner Felipe Montt. Their idea has great potential when it comes to making a lot of people’s mornings a lot easier. We like!

Problem:
Hi Refinement Club, we are Felipe and Maja, and we’re not what you’d call “morning persons”. As we’re constantly looking for solutions that can help us get from bed to work as fast as possible, we decided to refine the weather report, and solve morning’s biggest problem: “What should I wear today?”

Solution:
We found inspiration in the blog world, and came up with The Fashion Forecast; an app that allows friends to become “living” weather reports, by uploading a photo of today’s outfit. Of course with location, temperature and a sun/cloud etc. But adding that much needed information of “should I put on a scarf?”

OLD

NEW

Your weather photo is pushed out to nearby Facebook-friends with the app., but it’s easy to browse through other locations or friends. And of course, it learns over time, so if you’re up early it will recognize friend’s older outfits under the same conditions.

Rate your clothes based on the weather, and leave a comment if you like: Todays outfit: “3 stars, I wish I’d brought an umbrella”. Your friends at home can get inspired by your choice/learn from your mistake, and don’t have to spend precious morning- time on difficult clothing decisions.

Who are we? Felipe Montt and Maja Folgerø met at Berghs in Stockholm, and are now working as a creative team at BBH in New York. Tell us what you think at hellolivingspam@gmail.com

Would you like to submit your own idea to our calendar? Go ahead!
