Dec 22nd: Wikipedia your friends

On the 22nd day of our Advent Calendar, Johannes presents an idea that opens up a whole new level of online humor. Enjoy!

In the old days when some one said or did something particularly humours, dumb, heroic or smart we sometimes replayed them with a phrase like this: “When you look up stupid in the encyclopedia there’s a picture of you.” Now encyclopedia is of course Wikipedia and our humorous moments are often online. How can we take this old phrase into the modern age?

Problem:
When your friends say something particularly strange, funny, plain stupid, smart or totally genius it would be cool to just give them a fast, unique and funny response.

Idea:
Flatter your friends with their own Wikipedia page based on what they said.

How does this simple feature work?
You read something funny, smart or what ever on Facebook, Twitter, e-mail or some other social network. You can easily make a tailored response with a modified Wikipedia page based on their deeds or manner.

A simple comment for André’s LOLable Facebook post:

When André or his friends click the link they are sent to the modified Wikipedia page:

There’s not more to it than that. Just a simple way to give some kudos to your online friends.
