FF #1: Let your friends help you decide
Casper is our kind of guy, he likes to share! Once again, he was the first to submit when we reached out and asked for ideas to spread. So he gets to kick off our new concept, Feature Friday, where we leave the sharing up to you guys! Today Casper presents an idea that he developed for Pricerunner together with his classmates from Digital Media 11 at Hyper Island; Sebastian Marenius, Stefan Leijon, Anna Helldén, Hanna Willén, Xavier Feliu, Annica Strand, Nelson Bruggemann, David Walegren, Johan Strömgren & Robin Åhlgren:
F-Commerce is super awesome, cause it enables you to get your friends involved when shopping. Something that can be very helpful if you’re in that place where you really can’t decide what to choose.
Here is an idea of how we could enable Pricerunner (or other price comparison sites as) to utilize the power and expertise of your peers:
Price Runner from Sebastian Marenius on Vimeo.
Pricerunner is a price comparison site (like Kelkoo). We wanted to enhance the shopping experience on the site by adding a social tool that enables the shopper to utilize the power and expertise of his/her peers. This solving the problem of not being sure what product to choose when you are shopping online. So instead of googling, or going to a store, why not just ask the people you trust the most - your friends.
What problem to solve? When you for instance wanna buy an SLR Camera, but don’t know shit about it.
I’m Casper, a Hyper Island douf living happy days as a copy-intern at LBi in NYC.
Do you have an idea you’d like to share? Feature Friday will only happen when we have ideas from outside, so start submitting!
