FF #3: Pitchroulette
For our third Feature Friday we introduce Helge Svendsen and his idea on how to facilitate cooperation and growth of ideas, regardless of physical proximity:
Great ideas are meant to be shared. That’s the only way they can grow and reach a level of complete awesomeness. But what do you do if you don’t have anyone around you at the moment to share your great idea with?
For instance, if you have a great idea for a website, how can you get feedback on that idea from likeminded people, or people with a skill set that you don’t have, such as coding, writing or design?
Sure, you could post it on a forum and wait for someone to reply, but that could take a long time. Or you could ask someone you know, but they could be busy doing other things. But what if you could get instant feedback on whatever you do, no matter where you are in the world?
Pitchroulette combines the concept of Chatroulette with the concept of the elevator pitch, and creates a forum for artists and creatives across the world where they can share their ideas, get instantly feedback and partner up on projects.
How it would work: A user could log on to Pitchroulette, choose which category he would like to pitch his idea (such as design, text, web, art, mobile apps and so on), and then he would be paired up with someone that has the same field of interest. He then pitches his idea and gets instantly feedback from the other person. Not only does this give everyone training in keeping their ideas simple, sweet and short (elevator pitch), but they could also wind up getting a new partner for their project. So pitch, get feedback, get inspired and get to work.
(This idea is a bit colored by the fact that I work in the advertising industry. The ideas could of course be anything from how to draw an elephant better to how we can end poverty. It all depends on how many categories you set up).

My name is Helge Svendsen, and I currently work in Stockholm as a copywriter. I love the digital/interactive world and its endless possibilities, and my brain never stops to ponder on how it can be utilized, which gives me a lot of ideas and a lot of headaches.

Do you have an idea you’d like to share? Feature Friday will only happen when we have ideas from outside, so start submitting!
