Search by image
Zoë Waage is a quiz aficionado and was frustrated about not being able to search with an image. So we invited her to The Refinement Club so we could do something about it.
We talked about what kind of information we would like to have from an image, and this is what we came up with:
BASIC SEARCH – information in relation to an image
By dragging an image into the search bar we want to get results that involve:
- The context it has been used in
- About the motif (who, what, where, when)
- Other images with same motif, location etc
- Origin (photographer/artist)
- Other images with same origin
- Similar images
- Similar shapes
- Image analysis (color codes, meta data)
ADVANCED SEARCH - finding the perfect image
We would like to be able to drag an image into the search bar, and specify that we want pictures with e.g similar settings, so the images in our search result would be relevant and we could save a lot of time.
Sometimes we want to make a style frame and we don’t have the opportunity to stage a shoot to make one. If we had search boxes instead of a search bar, you could add several images to specify your search in terms of lighting, colors, motif, shape etc.
Short & sweet this time!
So what do you think?
